So, I started looking over my vampi model (partially built up recast off ebay) and realized the guy I bought it from did a fine job ;D. However, I think that it is out of my league to take it where it needs to be . The problems are numerous, and in no way the fault of above mentioned gentleman. They are all from the recasting, a lesson for all who might think they are saving money. Like I've stated before, I knew it was a recast, and since the seller wasn't the culprit, I figured "hey, why not? How bad can it be? Least the money isn't going to the re caster!" Well, it is pretty bad So now, I may put it back on ebay, with proper warning of problems (I'm not one of those people that sugar coat their item ) or put it away for many a year till I think I can do it justice. The real shame is I think the kit is no longer available from reputable people, due to recasters. Model Citizen, It is the kit that you did such a nice build up on, the alien girl. On a final note, the term "Hangin' is too good for 'em" keeps coming to mind ;D

Yeh I know what you mean I bought two different Vampi's from a reputable shop in London and was appalled at the standard of casting and resin quality on both of them. They never got finished, and put me off resins for quite some time. Then I put it down to being Garage kits but only recently have realised they must have been recasts and poor ones at that! Rant on Doon!

That may be it ;D The thing that kills me is you can almost see how wonderful the original must have been with the recast. If I ever see one that is original, gonna have to tighten the belt and try for it ;D

I've got one of them though, glad I'm on tuther side of the world though, Bit far for a bit of burglary I bought it when it was first released in cold cast porcelain. Ive posted pix on here somewhere. It really needs repainting! When I did it I thought it was amazing!. Seen that Kit on Ebay in thailand for 30something dollars!!!!!! Recast alert perhaps

You're correct, not Sugita, rather Vision Models. Was sculpted by John Wright.
A mind is a terrible thing to lose!
