well mate i dare say we all have our own favourite figures we'd like to see produced. one reason is the classic marketability... if i make a figure would someone buy it? are there enough people out there to cover the costs of my making such a figure?
now, i've never made an actual figure myself, at least not from scratch. someday i hope to but that's a long way off for the time being.
that's my tuppence worth for the debate.

Well, of course, a kit has to earn its money !
But is it less risky, to do the 32nd. Vampirella or the 11th. Lara Croft ?
Especially for the Pin Ups, I assume two things: On one hand: Producers fear for the license-costs.
On the other hand: I'm quite sure, that these pieces will have their market - at least as prepaints.
Take care Odin

I'd love to see some large scale 1940's Varga Girls myself. ;D I think there would be a huge market for them since his work is always in the Airbrush magazines. Still popular with the Flyboy's. Saw a few originals in a gallery in SF about 10 years ago. Fanboy moment. hooverae.com/upload/files/Cpl_Moody.jpgE...

Theres already a big market for the Dungeaons & Dragons type figures of paintings from Larry Elmore, Keith Parkinson etc.. just look at Dark Sword Miniatures.. thats all they do.. theres just gotta be a pluther of people out there including myself that would love to have them in at least 1/6th scale. for example.. check out this Valkyrie.. I have this figure... even as small as it is... its a wonderful sculpt.. but man oh man,.. make her in larger scale, and just imagine the detail that can be had.. www.darkswordminiatures.com/gallery/p_set1valk.htm
