Hey all as promised here are my girls..... The first is a Sol Vinyl Dryad kit......this was my first build [ My 2nd kit was "Faela" whom I painted to look more like one of the Cherokee "Little People" and my 3rd kit was JJ Models' Criora turned into "Lady Mayhem" Since I am fairly new to this....I would love the hear your thoughts or any tips you might have. Let me just say the airbrush TERRIFIES me! Currently I do all painting by hand.

youve got some great figures there. I especially like the Criora figure. It was one of my favorite JJ figures. When it comes to painting figures, the paint brush is what terrifies me. I prefer my trusty A/B. So, to me, youve done a super outstanding job on those.

"what paints did you use for the flesh tones as they look very natural "
I get asked this sooo much. I use acrylics that you can get at just about any hobby shop. Then I just blend with 2 or 3 shades until it looks right! The problem is that I never can remember exactly how I got a certain flesh tone...God help me if I have to do touch ups after the fact! For the shading I use chalk pastels. I love them because I can try something new and if I don't like it all I need is a cotton swab dipped in water to remove it.

i've taken some of your ideas and have begun to switch over to artists acrylic paint. i only have a few basic colour but i have used them to the best of my abilities on the Dominique figure i recently completed.
i have noticed that unlike tamiya acrylics these paints need to be heavily thinned before you can shoot them through an airbrush so i've had to stock up on the large bottles of thinners but i'm getting there slowly.
