Hello everyone!
I am just getting into the painting of figures both for model dioramas and I am going to try a few anime figures(not the ones where the boobs are 3 times larger than the head--but ya never know). I would like to wait until I get my airbrush set up so I can paint on a good base coat, but I may have to do some brush painting in the meantime. My question is if there are any good websites where different flesh tones are discussed(from dark tans all the way to haven't seen sun in 6 months) and the approximate mixing ratios to obtain these tones. I would also appreciate it if someone could tell me the best type of paints and manufacturers for painting figures--I know this is an individual preference but any info would still be a good reference for me. Its possible that larger figures(1/6 scale) might use a different type of paint than the smaller scales(1/48-1/35).
The other question I would like to ask is how to paint silk stockings in the most effective manner i.e., the proper base color and the best method(I am assuming air brushing is the only option).
I have tried to look up several web sites through google and have found a few sites that are OK but don't have the time to look them all up. I was hoping you all had the answers or know a great place to get them.
