I have just bought these to female figure kits at a recent show in Scotland and i was wondering if anyone has had any experience of them? The first is the Legends "Axe Girl" 1/12 scale resin figure and the other one is the 3D Girls "Diabolical" 80mm white metal figure....i'm interested in hearing about people's experiences with white metal as i've never experienced it before

What's the girl with the axe kit like? How come they don't show the front view. I noticed the same view on their website.

I got no idea why they don't show her witha frontal picture...weird
there is a picture of her face on the edge of the box and she isn't naked so i don't undrestand why they hid her picture.
as for building her, well i haven't started work on her yet and it might be some time before i do but i'll post comments when i do

The Vamp Girl I did is white metal. The only problem I've had with it is gluing. I use super glue and it holds OK. But the bond seems to break easier than resin or vinyl. Too much pressure on a joint and it pops. Maybe it's just me or the wrong glue.

You can use super glue but make sure you rough up both sides of the metal.
I have found five minute epoxy works well for metal figures. Again rough up both side for a good joint.
If it is a weight bearing joint I would definitely pin it.

The best adhesive I've found for the white metal is a product we call JB Weld. It is essentially a two part epoxy-metal. Works great and the joint pretty much matches the model in color and texture. The only thing else I've found helpful is to prime the model with a filler such as Gunze Sangyo Mr. Surfacer 1000. Smooths it out nicely and will suffice as a primer for the paint to follow.
