This site has a load of figure models. Before anyone says it, yes I believe they are recasts. Before I got smart on this whole garage kit/recast subject I bought some from them. I must say though, they are very clean, few seam/mold lines and no pits. They actually compare well with the Volks models I have for quality. Anyway, nice pictures and as far a buying recast... let your conscience be your guide. www.hobbyfan.com ;D Dave Hall

With all these "hobby" websites it can be confusing which ones are actually selling authentic kits and which are recasts, but I believe Hobbyfan is the real deal. They take requests and when they get 10 for a certain model, they have the factory reproduce them. Their prices are more in line with original kits also. Hobby Warrior, on the other hand are clearly recasts. They always have pretty much the same items, and the prices are much cheaper. I believe they even mention they are recasts, and the biggest tell is that they are from Thailand which seems to be the country of choice for recasting.

Thanks for the info. I don't feel so guilty now and even have a couple more that I'd like to purchase from them.

And at one time, Hobbyfan.com had the same thing on their website. And as far as the prices reflecting the originals, check out the Atelier It kits. They don't fall in line with current pricing. Caveat emptor...
