A new coffin for the Countess !

Hi folks,

well i wasn't to happy the way the paint job turned out on the original coffin that was used in the reclining Countess Karnstein so i decided to make a new one in a sort of gothic style out of balsa wood.

i have only finished the construction part and the figure hasn't been finished either but you will get the general idea from the picture.

I am toying with the idea of adding my name on the side of the grave by using raised lettering but this might be seen as a little to egotisical or morbid by some people.

to break up that idea i had thought of adding an inscription that reads: In memory of James, the inventor of the time machine; born 1971 died 1889

Looks good so far. I like the idea of putting your name on there. Heck, Sugita did it with his Vampirella. Why not?

Thought i'd post a quick update on how i was getting on with the new style of coffin for my Countess Karnstein. Below you can see how the coffin now looks after i painted it as well as how it will look once i have install the Countess on her new "throne". I still have to create a new cloak for her out of milliput as well as finishing of some facial details and jewellery before assembling her fully. As always comments are welcome.
