Here is another modified Volk's figure that I did a few years back as a commission. The kit started as the Sister Jil figure (last photo is the box art reference that comes with the kit) and the customer wanted changes made with the figure to create a different look. In addition to modifying the face, hands and costume, synthetic doll hair was added. Also a rose was placed in her hand. -David

That is cool as hell! I like what youve done with her. Ive also have one of these that Ive worked on here and there to convert. Im adding wings to her along with a few other small mods, but I doubt it will come out looking as good as yours. Excellent work my friend!

Now that's amazing, i have a recast of that kit and i had planned to do her in an outfit something similar too that but more in line with Electra...now that is an amazing job... do you mind telling us how you dealt with the mask that the sister Jill kit is wearing, how did you sculpt over it to give the new figure facial features?

Thanks for all the great comments. Concerning the modifications to the figure's face and mask- The boomerang shaped upper mask piece had 2 square locating holes in her forehead which were filled with epoxy putty and sanded smooth. The part of the mask which is actually molded as part of the face was removed by sanding some areas and filling others (epoxy putty again). After this, some sculpting was needed to refine the eyes and mouth. Yes, the fiber hair does take a while (and it is tedious), but on some of the larger figures I think it really adds something.
The eyelashes are painted on.
Thanks.
