Well here it is at long last my Vampirella Figure! It's been one dog of a kit from start to finish, especially painting wise and although it isn't quite up too the level i would like it too be it is finished so that's one less item on the work bench. The main problems i had were with putty and filling gaps and i have lost some of the detail around the crotch area, luckily it's not to visible. The other area of concern was where the legs joined the body, for some reason the paint reacted with the putty and no matter how many primer coats i put on there were areas that came through. ( again they aren't to visible here due too the camera angles) Lastly, i over did it a little with the pastels, that will teach me for doing this in a poorly light area. Anyway here she is:

Hi James, sorry but I missed the first post, what medium are you using for painting ? And can you explain a little more how do you use the pastels ? Are you using some spray to fix it to the figure ? Thanks, Luca

Hi James, sorry but I missed the first post, what medium are you using for painting ? And can you explain a little more how do you use the pastels ? Are you using some spray to fix it to the figure ? Thanks, Luca Calvin, I used Tamiya model paints and i created my own flesh tones using white, desert yellow red-brown. these were thinned using tamiya thinners and i added more red-brown or white to vary the shades. the Pastels i used are regualr artist pastels (chalks) which i rub on corse sand paper to get a small pile of the powered which i i dip a round headed brush into and gently brush them on too the figure. finally i used humbrol clear matt varnish which i bought in a spray can and from a large distance spray the figure to seal in the pastels, this is done with a light misting of the spray paint, so as not too cause any runs during this process... hope this helps

That methode looks very delicated!!! But that idea of using pastels is a great one, smooth.
Congratulations, Sir, a lovely lady you painted.
