Welcome to my first post! (Yay me!) Has anyone else built this kit up? I was wondering what your views on it are? I bought it waaayyy back in the day after seeing it advertised in Modeler's Resource and have fiddled with it over the past eight years. For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, here is a link to where it is still available: www.monstersinmotion.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/3_230/products_id/1705I recently decided to bite the bullet and finish her once and for all and I've had to shim her legs, redo her holster straps, ditch her handguns entirely (got a set of Evangelion handguns on the way) and putty putty putty! I'm having a hard time beleiving that she's not a recast! I'll take some progress pics as soon as I get my camera back (about 2 weeks) Cheers,

Ive had a few of these, both recast and originals. They werer at one time available from VLS, so I bought a few when they discontinued them....they were still pretty rough, as were all GMs figures, but it wasnt as bad as some recasts of it from Ebay.

So even the originals were rough, eh? I don't feel so bad then!
I've been making modifications in the hopes of making her a bit more PG-13. I've re sculpted her shorts (they are now closed) and I decided to make a removable knapsack for her to cover the one exposed nipple. I ended up embedding a magnet in her back and the knapsack so that the shoulder strap could be left flexible for easy removal.

CRAP!! I had just done the final clean-my-grubby-fingerprints-off-the-model in anticipation of painting it. I took her outside today (nice and sunny out) to dry off in the sun. I had my back turned working on something else. I hear a thump-SNAP! and I turn around just in time to see the model's right arm fly off into a bush! A slight breeze tipped her over and she had a three foot fall onto the concrete patio! much swearing ensued! Luckily I was able to re-pin her arm and I only lost one finger off her hand! Things could have been much worse, she could have shattered on impact!

aw man i feel for you, i really do.
the same thing happened to me while i was working on my Han Solo stormtrooper figure. I left him to dry standing up between two large bottles so he would tip over and a small gust of wind from the open patio door blew him over off of the coffee table.
i heard him fall and the resulting "clonk" noise when he hit the ground and i arrived to see him lying there in 2 pieces.
so i totally sympathise

Some good news, some bad news. My wife is back from vacation, so I have the camera again and will be able to post some pics soon. Unfortunatley the model fell over again (was pegged to my painting stand and it still fell over!)and one of the guns snapped in half. I would of cried if her arm broke again, as I have started painting the skin tones! I must of seriously annoyed someone to have all this bad luck!!
