k...I'm gonna weigh in on this. Since I am female...I got started on this because when my husband and I were just dating he handed me a copy of Modeler's Resource. That's where I first saw all the warrior women figures....I about choked when he told me that they were kits that I could buy, buil and paint myself! He actually really encourages me. So far I have completed 3 kits, one was a vunyl dryad kit, then I Built a resin "Faela" but made her look more American Indian (I myself am Eastern Cherokee and Iroquois) and my 3rd was the Criora kit from JJ Models. As soon as I get pics onlie I will post them. From my point of view s a woman...I love the female form when it is done well. It is simply one of the most beautiful forms around.
I adore seeing a well scuplted female figure kit...it is pure ART!

I don't do nudes either. I have a 12 year old daughter and though my wife has said she does not care personally, we both agree that at home we keep the flesh exposure - even the simulated kind to a minimum.

I'm lucky to have a very supportive spouse, who is wonderful about my hobby...I think she realizes that a lot of guys my age are out there making fools of themselves chasing barmaids half their age, so painting a few sexy figures is really no big deal.
For my part, given how supportive she's been, and with two kids, there's a line I'm not going to cross. I'm not going to do anything with real nudity. That wouldn't appeal to me, anyway...I'm not going to do anything I can't show off. I like to take models to IPMS-type shows, and most of them don't allow nudes. Plus, I just wouldn't feel comfortable with it.

My current GF is a huge fan of the naked-women models-even the downright X rated ones. Not only does she like the subject matter-she is trying to push me out of an artistic slump(I have trouble drawing nudes/pinups which is where I can make REAL money) and figures my love of these figs should help(besides which, she prefers them to the flesh and blood kind for art refrence models).
I am extremely lucky-I know it and find the whole situation rather alien. Its like I expect the hammer to fall any time which drives her bonkers. Im also a fan of metal minis(games workshop space marines) and models-all of which she pushes.
Seeing as she was married before, I think she sees these hobbies as more "good" male stuff then drinking oneelf stupid and generally doing nothing.
