Dominique,
Dominique is a large scale female figure kit from PSI Kits
and is approximately 1/6th scale.
The figure is cast in pale yellow resin to an exceptional standard
and the sections the figure is separated into fit beautifully with
no unsightly seam lines to deal with. Like all resin kits there are
some minor seams to deal with but nothing that should take to long to fix with some wet and dry sanding paper.
The figure is separated into an upper section which consists of the torso as well as the head and shoulders all being molded as one and the legs being molded as a separate section. The arms and lower legs as well as the arms are also cast separately as well as the wings which are easily connected to the kit with the help of slots which have been cast into the figure's back.
The figure comes with an optional bikini top so that she can be
reproduced topless or covered ( i chose the covered option as i wish display her at some shows). The casting quality is magnificent, i didn't find a single air bubble or any warp-age at all and i think kit was certainly worth the $80 i paid plus extra for shipping to Scotland.
The only bad thing i can say about this kit is the base that comes
with the kit. It has been cast as a Gothic style base for her to sit
on and despite the grand style more attention should have been given to the casting of this as the fit is incredibly bad, to the point i have binned it and i am in the process of creating an alternative. I feel that this item should have been cast as a one piece item by creating a positive and negative mold so that the caster could have saved on resin and produced a hollow base which would have been sturdy enough to support the figure.
