I have gravitated into the 1/6th scale resin kits. They do not take up a lot of space, and are fairly available.
My primary area of modeling is 1/32nd scale U.S. Navy aircraft. I like to take a commercially produced kit, and customize it into a different version.
I get a lot more satisfaction doing the same with my "girls". The only problem is where does one find arms, legs, and even bodies to customize ?
There is a whole after market of "conversion" kits for aircraft, but how do you work around not sacrificing an entire resin figure kit for parts ?
It there an on line "swap meet" site some where ?

if you are building 120mm scale figures verlinden does a set of replacement hands and the "Selene" figure i have has options for her hads as well but generally there aren't many interchangeable parts availabe from what i have seen. this basically means you have to do it the hard way, namely to alter the parts yourself using modeling clay/putty which i have done on military figures in the past.
