Zorya is a warrior-girl in the sophisticated world in two dimensions of Goupil and Crissé, of cómic (I do not have idea of the English title, I translate my best the possible thing...) The Crystal Sword. Figure is one that I began ten years ago, without the smaller spirit to dedicate to me in serious to her, I was learning to use different putties in the market from then, and I was going on on her according to almost useless pieces of putty. She has rested for ten years and now, a month ago, I have retaken her with the objective to finish her, to paint her and to enjoy in the process. Perhaps I'll think to present/display her at some near contests. Zorya is a figure of 90mm, done with so many mixtures of epoxies that I do not have nor idea of which one is the predominant one, I suppose milliput. Now I am continuing it with magic sculp and some invention you will see... lol the two first pics are how she was after those ten years of rest, in which I have not modeled nor almost painted nothing: There is a lot of work done since those pics, but I'll go on slowly...I'm translating all to English!!! lol

Very nice, Minna. What I really like, at this stage of your sculpt, is the pose. It's hard to find a convincing one for this kind of figures. Hope to see more soon. Ciao, Luca

LOL, rip, That you say must be for 28mm figures, sure. This one is bigger!!
Calvin, cielo, Thanks four your comment, too, I'm with you, if you don't get the pose from the first moment, you'll find problems with the figure later, so I took many time to fix this one before I started with the hear. Glad you like it!!!
Kisses!!

My first step consisted in finishing the hair. I needed to work in a considerable part in the zone of the nape of the neck. I also needed to clean and to sandpaper the previous hair. and The following step was to review the rest of the figure and begin to think about the hands, the sword, the arms, in short, the rest. But I didn't do that, I began to worry about the clothes. Zorya goes dressed in a suit very fit and sophisticated of skin, with ample and opportune openings of elastic net in legs, back and on the chest. How to make that mesh of so fine net? And I began to surround the subject. To experiment with pharmaceutical gauzes, putty, fabric. Techniques to paint woman averages... Friends of mine gave much information to me. One of them said to me that in the feeding commercial centers i'd find a very fine net in the coats of garlic. Yes, you have read very well. And, indeed, the plastic fabric that surrounded garlic was the adopted solution... but I am running much, before I made the edges that delimited those spaces of net. Meanwhile I started the cristal sword with putty (magic sculp)

Meanwhile, I made the glove of the hand that holds the sword, and the left hand that will be half-opened in a position of rest for the leaf(?) of the said sword . With the second glove, I have done step by step...It is my first modeled hand! And the sword itself, goes on slowly...

Wow! What talent. I have a hard enough time with kits. You have certainly captured the essence of the character. I think it is absolutely wonderful. Can't wait for the finished figure.

Hi very impressive. i love that figure!
about net and details of clothes- if can i suggest smth.. nothing puts better tu putty then putty- in my opinion it is reccomendet to make that kind of detail with Duro [Green stuff], mixed with magic sculp. It is very good for hair sculpting
best regards ~kamil

Thank you very much! It cheers to me that you like this small one, I already have desire to return to model more.
Kamil, I have discovered this mixture just a veryshort time ago, and I have already begun to use it in the other figure I'm making, I will put some pic in the forum of alternatives. When I was doing Zorya I had never proven the "duro" nor knew about it,
In any case, I will already finish her as I began so that differences in the scale of the net can not be noticed. But I have learned the lesson! Thanks again! Kisses!

'small one' 90 and 75 mm are best scale in my opinoon. but i'm just learning how to sculp, so 120mm is more painless for that :> regards ~kamil
